Loyd Contracting is a family owned licensed general contractor in the State of Florida. For almost 40 years we have specialized in remodeling, residential construction, and commercial construction. We have completed projects in Titusville, Cocoa, Rockledge, Melbourne, Satellite Beach, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne Beach, Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Brevard County, Indian River County, New Smyrna, and Deland.  

Gene Loyd started the business in 1980 building residential homes from the ground up.  At that time, “Gene Loyd Contracting” self-performed most of the disciplines in the construction process. Gene would subcontract electrical, plumbing and HVAC work but the balance of the work would be completed with his hands and oversight. This laid the groundwork for an understanding of the construction process that leads to superior quality and customer satisfaction.  Almost 40 years later we have the same attention to detail and an unmatched dedication to quality.  We have multiple customers that have contracted with us three or more times over the years.

Our main construction team consists of 4 dedicated individuals, Micah Loyd (President), Gene Loyd (Vice President), Jason Higginson (Project Manager), Kris Harvey (Project Manager). The Loyd Team has a tradition of strong quality controls, excellence in management, years of hands on experience, and the highest standards of integrity. Through all phases of the design and construction process, our project- management team provides our customers with a superior product and customer service.

The Loyd Team works closely with each client from concept to completion to address our client’s priorities and guide them through the complicated construction process.
